RECIPES Ideas

  • Apple pie with orgeat syrup

    Ingredients (for 4 people):
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 yoghurt (keep the pot as measure)
    • 1 pot of sugar
    • 1/2 pot of orgeat syrup
    • 1/2 pot of oil
    • 4 tablespoons of cream
    • 1 sachet of yeast
    • 3 and a half pots of flour
    • 4 apples
    • 60g of flaked almonds
    Preparation:

In a bowl, break the eggs, add the yoghurt, the sugar, and then beat a few moments.

Add also the cream, the oil and the orgeat syrup, to obtain a smooth mixture. Finish by adding the flour and the yeast. Pour the preparation into a buttered and floured mold.

Preheat your oven between 180°C to 210°C.

Peel and cut your apples in fine lamellas to place nicely on the dough. Sprinkle flaked almonds on the set of apples.

Put in the oven during approximately 35 minutes; verify the cooking with the point of a knife.

Let cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.

    Macaroons flavored with mint syrup

    Ingredients:
    • 1 basic recipe of macaroon (Italian or French meringue)
    • 200g of dark chocolate
    • 210g of cream
    • 25g of sweet butter
    • 4 coffee spoons of mint syrup
    Preparation:

Boil the cream with the mint syrup.

Pour the cream on the chocolate and let rest one minute to melt the chocolate.

Put in the fridge until the mixture becomes firm, but not too hard to be able to fill the hulls of macaroons easily.

Vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips

    Ingredients (for 4 people):
    • 2 egg whites
    • 20cl of liquid cream
    • 10cl of vanilla syrup
    • 50g of dark chocolate
    Preparation:

Put a salad bowl in a cool place during at least one hour (more time it passes at the cool, the better), then put in it the liquid cream and take it up in firm whipped cream (an ice cube in the cream can help).

In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and pour slowly the vanilla syrup into the whites in snow; that will become liquid and brilliant. Add it in the whipped cream and mix with a wooden spoon.

When the mixture is homogeneous, leave it in the ice-cream maker approximately 25 minutes. If you don’t have an ice-cream maker, you can put directly the preparation in a bowl going to the freezer. Meanwhile, prepare chocolate chips.

With an ice-cream maker: when the ice is taken, transfer it in a recipient going to the freezer. Add the chocolate chips and stir with a fork. Put in the freezer.

Without ice-cream maker: after 2 hours, take out the ice of the freezer to add the chocolate chips. Stir with a fork and put back in the freezer 4 to 6 hours.

Vanilla syrup can be replaced by mint or any other flavor you may want to try in ice cream.
